Samjhana Pokhrel is the CEO of Amble Himalaya, a women-led tour company that promotes responsible tourism and empowers women in the Himalayas. With over a decade of experience in the tourism sector and an MBA, Samjhana has developed sustainable tourism initiatives that support women-led businesses and cooperatives, promote eco-friendly practices, and provide training and employment opportunities to local women. Her leadership and contributions to the tourism industry have been recognized through various awards and honors, and she is an active advocate for sustainable and responsible tourism practices. Through her work, Samjhana is making a positive impact on local communities and the tourism industry in Nepal.

Sushila Shrestha

Sushila graduated from NATHM in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, has an understanding of hospitality. She has been participating in several events and worked in the tourism industry while she was a student as well.  She believes, “What you learn doesn’t count, how you use your learning is all that counts” thus soon after graduating from college, she quickly gets herself into the tourism field. She is currently in charge of the company’s sales, correspondence, and travel arrangements. She has an easygoing personality and picks things up quickly, so in a short period of time, she was able to plan several successful trips.

Luna Puri

With a Bachelor’s in Travel and Tourism Management, Luna has graduated from the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). She has worked in a variety of tourism and hospitality-related positions during and after her studies to obtain valuable experiences. She has acquired a sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the value of customer satisfaction.

As our organization’s Sales and Correspondence Officer, Luna is dedicated to giving visitors outstanding travel arrangements. She is committed to designing customized travel itineraries that consider each person’s preferences and interests, ensuring that every traveler’s journey is unforgettable.

Sital Rijal

Sital Rijal is a dynamic and visionary leader whose passion lies in promoting responsible tourism and empowering women in the Himalayas. With a Masters in Sustainable Development, Sital is working tirelessly and resolutely to increase tourism in Nepal and advance women’s economic empowerment. As a key member of Amble Himalaya, Sital is committed to leveraging the transformative power of digital marketing and sustainable tourism to bring about positive change in the region. Her work is a testament to her unwavering dedication to promoting sustainable tourism practices and empowering women in the Himalayas.

Irada Subedi

 Irada Subedi is a civil engineer turned exceptional tour guide at Amble Himalaya who has a passion for travel and tourism. She has trekked through many remote regions of Nepal, including the Three High Passes, Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Kopra Region, Goisakunda, and many more gaining a wealth of knowledge about Nepal’s diverse cultures and landscapes.
