Chitwan Jungle Safari Itinerary

On the first day of your Chitwan Jungle Safari, you would typically begin by driving from Kathmandu to Chitwan. The drive typically takes around 5-6 hours, and the route takes you through picturesque countryside and small towns. Along the way, you may have the opportunity to stop and explore local markets or temples. Once you reach Chitwan, you will check in to your lodge or resort and have lunch. After lunch, you may have some time to relax before exploring chitwan.During the evening, you will have dinner and enjoy a cultural program, such as a traditional dance performance by the local Tharu people. After that, you will retire for the night at your lodge or resort.

The best time to for jungle safari either dusk or dawn. So we drive our jeep around Chitwan National Park early in the morning. On the second day of your Chitwan Jungle Safari, you would typically spend the entire day exploring the Chitwan National Park. You would start the day with an early morning activity such as bird watching, or a canoe ride on the Rapti River to see the park's aquatic life.  If we are lucky, we’ll encounter one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger, Gharial crocodile, wild elephant, four horned antelope, and other wildlife on our exploration of Chitwan National Park. After taking 4-hour long tour of the park, we visit Wildlife Display & Information Center and learn about the wildlife.  In the evening, we enjoy the Tharu show and understand their culture. Overnight in Sauraha.

Bird watching is another naturalist attraction in Chitwan National Park. Today, we enter the park with our binoculars and watch the beautiful birds flying around. You would typically start the day with an early morning bird watching activity. The park is home to over 550 species of birds, and this is an excellent opportunity to see some of the rare and exotic birds that live in the park. We may get to see the bird including, Kingfisher, giant hornbill, hawks, osprey, stork, heron, duck, kite, cuckoo, crane, flycatcher, mynah, dove, crow, drongo, parrot, egret, and other species of birds. Later, we can also go for elephant basking at the bank of Narayan River before returning the capital.  Overnight at a hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu.
